Family Friendly & Ideal For Windsurfing

Shelly Bay Beach Bermuda is located on the northeast coast of Bermuda in Hamilton Parish, 1.6 miles southwest of Henrys Hill. The beach takes its name from Henry Shelly, a crewmember of the Sea Venture, Sir George Somers’ wrecked ship. The beach is shaded by trees along the shore, unusual for a Bermudan beach.

The water of this white sand beach is calm and shallow for hundreds of yards, so it is known as being the most family-friendly beach on the island. Shelly Bay Beach is also ideal for windsurfing. The Shelly Bay Nature Reserve is at this beach and features a red mangrove forest, Bermuda cedar trees, and a saltwater pond. There is a children’s playground featuring slides, swings, and climbing frames. Public restrooms are available. A concession stand rents snorkeling equipment, lounge chairs, and beach chairs.
