Exceptionally Pink Sand

Stonehole Bay is located on the southwest coast of Bermuda, in the southern portion of Warwick Parish, 3.3 miles south southwest of the capital city of Hamilton. It is frequently called the twin beach of Chaplin Bay Beach. It is a small cove and beach surrounded by rock formations and rocky cliffs. It has exceptionally pink sand towards the water’s edge. The shore disappears at high tide, so the tides should be checked before heading to Stonehole Bay. Stonehole Bay Beach Bermuda is secluded and rarely crowded. It is visited by locals and tourists, but not in large numbers.

The water at Stonehole Bay can be rough at times, but is generally safe for swimming near the shore as the bay is fairly shallow. Further out near the coral, there is cloudy water and rip tides which make snorkeling here difficult and somewhat dangerous. Public restrooms and picnic tables are available at Stonehole Bay. There is also a snack bar on-site and there are sometimes local vendors selling food at or near Stonehole Bay.
